Trump Wins Super Tuesday, but Don’t Count Cruz, Rubio Out Yet
But Marco Rubio, who only carried Minnesota, says he’s going nowhere.

68-year-old Clinton, who is the Democratic Party front-runner and is aspiring to be America’s first woman president, also clinched seven states in the “Super Tuesday” primaries – Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
Sanders won just four of the 11 Super Tuesday states – Colorado, Minnesota, Oklahoma and his home state of Vermont.
Other Republicans echoed similar sentiments.
Trump then said, “But not that many people are moving from New Jersey”.
“He will be in single digits in most states tonight, and there is no route to victory for him, regardless of what fiction [Kasich chief strategist] John Weaver tries to spin”, Anderson said. He can never bring this party together.
“Whether I support (Trump) or not, it’s ultimately up to the voters”.
After he professed to have good relationships with the party elite, he warned House Speaker Paul Ryan, who declared earlier that “this party does not prey on people’s prejudices”, that if the two do not get along, Mr Ryan is “going to have to pay a big price”.
He also jabbed at the “lightweight” Rubio for having a “tough night”. “I think Ted’s gonna have a very hard time but Ted at least has a shot because at least he’s won a little bit”. Rubio’s next closest state was Virginia, where he did well in the D.C. suburbs, but Trump still pulled out a victory, robbing him of a major coup.
Clinton won seven states, including Texas, where Trump wants to build the wall. Prior to Super Tuesday, Trump had 82 delegates, and Cruz was a distant second with 17. Lewis voted for Donald Trump.
In a statement this evening, the Republican candidate has said that he will not be attending the Fox News debate which will take place in his home city of Detroit tomorrow evening. We wanted to do well.
For Ben Carson, the results were even more bleak.
On the Democratic side, Clinton took advantage of her strong performance with black voters to cruise to big wins in several southern states, where African Americans make up a big bloc of the party’s electorate.
“Now it might be unusual, as I’ve said before, for a presidential candidate to say this, but I’m going to keep saying it. I believe what we need in America today is more love and kindness”.
“This country belongs to all of us, not just those at the top”.

The Associated Press projected the Democrat would win the two states as soon as polls closed at 7 p.m. ET.
