Trump wins US Republican primaries in all five states
Sanders told the Times that “hundreds” of campaign workers would be affected by the layoffs.

Trump has so far won 27 contests, compared to 10 for Cruz and one for Kasich.
I’m not convinced that current polling in which Republicans believe the delegate leader should become the nominee will matter much. Seven others ran as uncommitted. Cruz and Kasich are trying to stop Trump from reaching the 1,237 delegate total for victory. Cruz is supposed to be the anti-Trump candidate next week, with Kasich playing that role later in OR and New Mexico.
Clinton relished a chance to lay into Trump in her victory speech in Philadelphia after winning four out of the five Northeastern primary contests. Comparatively, Cruz and Kasich, who are seeking to deprive Trump of a majority of delegates to the drive the Republican National Convention to open ballot, have 560 delegates and 153 delegates respectively.
“That may sound odd, but I think that’s kind of what we need”, Seyler, 63, a senior buyer for a direct marketer, said Tuesday at a polling place in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.
But in his post-primary statement, Sanders said, “I look forward to issue-oriented campaigns in the 14 contests to come”.
A big question in the GOP primary has been whether Trump can win over women voters, who tend to support him less than their male counterparts.
The Democratic front-runner expanded her all-but-unstoppable march with wins in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Delaware.
U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump speaks during a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, U.S. April 25, 2016.
Likewise, Clinton was eager to turn her attention to Trump.
More than 7 in 10 Maryland Democratic voters saw Clinton as the better candidate to beat Trump, 6 in 10 said she was the best candidate to handle gun policy and more than half saw her as the more inspiring candidate. I know a lot of people would say, ‘you can’t say that about a woman because of course a woman doesn’t shout.’ But the way she shouted that message was not …
But in a surprise, Sanders was projected to have won Rhode Island.
When asked if he would consider running as an independent Trump responded: “I’ll have to see how I’m being treated by the Republicans”. Though the clean sweep is expected to give a big boost to his White House ambitions, he would still fall a few hundred delegates short of the 1,237 required to bag the GOP presidential nomination.
“California will have the most staff”, Sanders said. Among Democrats, the top five vote-getters were three Sanders-pledged delegates and two Clinton delegates.
Hillary Clinton secured 141,298 votes or 51.03 percent of the vote to Sanders 130,569 votes or 47.15 percent of the vote.
On Tuesday night, CT moved the country closer to a general election matchup of Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton.

Sanders has vowed to stay in the race until voting wraps up in June. He is raising millions of dollars and attracting big crowds, including on Tuesday night in West Virginia, where he told his supporters: “You are powerful people if you choose to exercise that power”.
