Trump Works to Repair Mistakes, Backs House Speaker Ryan
“We will have disagreements, but we will disagree as friends and never stop working together toward victory – and, very importantly, toward real change”, Trump said at a rally in Wisconsin, Ryan’s home state. The GOP nominee is being hurt by 54% of respondents believing that the economy is doing very or somewhat well, but where Trump’s campaign is backfiring is that 80% of Hispanic voters in the state reported that this election made them more motivated to vote.

The endorsement came after Trump shocked the GOP establishment earlier this week by declining to endorse Ryan in his primary election next Tuesday.
Trump also endorsed New Hampshire Sen.
Mr Trump this week refused to endorse Ryan when he told The Washington Post he was “not quite there yet” – using the same phrase Mr Ryan had used about Mr Trump before finally endorsing him.
Although Ryan is expected to easily win reelection of his Wisconsin district, Trump’s non endorsement of Ryan created ripples within the party throughout the week.
This was the first week following the two political conventions, and Donald Trump is not off to a good start toward the November 8 finish line of the presidential election.
“Arm in arm, we will rescue the country from the Obama-Clinton disaster”, Trump told supporters after formally declaring his support for Ryan in next week’s congressional primary.
Mr Ryan is the highest-ranking elected Republican.
Another problem cited by top Wisconsin Republicans has been the lack of Trump targeting his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in the wake of last month’s GOP National Convention.
Trump broke with his usual form, reading from notes. “We have to make them”, Trump said, referring to his sudden change of heart. “You would think we’d ought to be focusing on Hillary Clinton and all of her deficiencies”, Ryan said.
It’s been a long journey for Trump, however, who told the Washington Post on Tuesday: “I like Paul, but these are disgusting times for our country”.
He said in the same interview that Mr McCain had not done enough for veterans and criticised Ms Ayotte for distancing herself from him during the campaign.
She also acknowledged that many people do not trust her.
“As Donald Trump has said stupid things and been rude to so many people over the past year, I usually chalked it up to inexperience and the spotlight of an incredibly hostile press”, Vos wrote.

Trump has suffered a brutal campaign week that included his refusal to back down in a confrontation with the parents of a Muslim American soldier killed in Iraq. He withheld his endorsement of Trump for a long time before coming around, and he has regularly weighed in when the establishment saw Trump going too far.
