Trump would push waterboarding, does not see NH as must-win

Florida Senator Marco Rubio declined to say definitively whether he would reinstitute the use of waterboarding.

Trying to slow down the Florida senator ahead of the New Hampshire primaries on Tuesday, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie blasted him for lacking leadership skills and experience, and even likened him to Obama. “They’re chopping off heads of Christians and many other people in the Middle East”. We have things that we have never seen before, as a group… “When they’re chopping off the heads of people – and innocent people in most cases – beyond waterboarding is fine with me”.

“We’ve watched it happen, everybody, for the last seven years”.

“Jeb wants to be a tough guy, and it doesn’t work very well”, Mr. Trump said as Mr. Bush accused Mr. Trump of once evicting an older woman from her land in Atlantic City so he could build, in Mr. Bush’s telling, “a limousine parking lot”. It is enhanced interrogation.

Draitser believes people should unite behind someone who is a serious opponent to Trump – such as the establishment-friendly Marco Rubio – and somehow also prevent Trump from going with a third party.

Cruz said, in response to a question on whether waterboarding is torture, “Well, under the definition of torture, no, it’s not”.

“Uh, I would not bring it back in any sort of widespread use”, Cruz said, to some disapproving murmurs from the crowd. I have a great relationship between the vets and all of the people of New Hampshire.

“It is enhanced interrogation, it is vigorous interrogation, but it does not meet the generally recognised definition of torture”. “And indeed I’d join with Senator McCain in prohibiting line officers from employing it”.

“I actually think I have the best temperament”, said Trump at another point in the debate.

The two Republicans made the comments when asked about the practice at Saturday night’s GOP debate.

What was perhaps just as interesting were the responses from the other candidates who were sharing the stage with the billionaire businessman. “In mano a mano, or mano a womano, face-offs with all contenders, Sanders and Rubio would be the candidates left standing”.
