‘Trunk or treat’ event planned

Greenwood said they had 5,000 people in attendance last year and they expect a big crowd this year as well since Halloween will land on a Saturday. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. Bring a flashlight. Youngsters must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

About 30 vehicles showcasing the talent of many parents displayed their decorated trunks in the Fairfield Warde parking lot. This event is sponsored by WQSV radio station and Dawgz On A Boat.

Mall St. Matthews, 5 pm.to 7 p.m. The community is invited to attend. Games, inflatables, food, dunk tank, and candy. This chat is free and available to the public.

“It was great that we were able to continue with our event one day after the schools were in lockdown for several hours”, Janine Jaeger, Co-chair said during the event. In case of inclement weather, the free activity will be held in the church’s recreation outreach center.

Volunteers from Gainesville’s Trinity United Methodist Church hosted their 13th annual Trunk or Treat Festival today. The event runs from 5 until 7 p.m.at the church, 3411 South Polaris Drive. For more information, call 746-5403. Admission is free and open to the public.

“Job and the Language of Suffering” is the topic of a Bible study from 8:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.at Lane Agri-Park, 315 John Rice Blvd.in Murfreesboro.

Sycamore High School, Old Clarksville Pike in Pleasant View, will be hosting a safe trick or treat on Friday, October 30 from 5-8 p.m.

“It’s Trunk-or-Treat but with the Elks Lodge it’s so much more than that”.

Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8769 Rockvale Road in Rockvale, will host its annual fish fry and silent auction from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $8 each or two for $15. Children can come in costume and must be accompanied by a guardian.

First Christian Church will be hosting a Trunk or Treat at 6 p.m. Saturday, Halloween evening, at the corner on north Clay and 10th Street.
