Tuesday’s VIPIR Forecast: More sunshine and cool temps
Temperatures steadily slip, dropping into the 60s after sunset, with lows ranging from near 60 downtown to around 50 in our cooler suburbs. The pattern repeats itself through the end of the week, with lots of sun and middle 80s. Stay tuned for more on that and enjoy the lovely weather! There will be coastal showers, but most areas will be dry. While its direct effects will not be felt here in the Triangle, it will cause unsettled beach weather along and southward from the Outer Banks, where there will be a few showers and thunderstorms each day.

Though a few showers are possible early Friday… clouds mainly have more bark than bite.
Monday and Tuesday are the last full days of the summer season.
Sunny skies prevail the rest of the week and into the weekend, and temperatures will get back into the mid 80s across the Upstate and low 80s in the mountains. Temperatures will start in the 40s and 50s again this morning. Autumn officially arrives on Wednesday, September 23, at 4:21 a.m. For now, it looks like high pressure will come through with some terrific weather.
