On Tuesday, Zeybekci and Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Nurettin Canikli arrived in Moscow for a visit to boost bilateral cooperation in multiple fields such as energy, food, agriculture, tourism, transportation and trade, according to Sputnik. It also authorized the “voluntary departure” of the family members of US officials posted in Ankara and the consulate in Istanbul.
So, for the U.S. law or judges in the U.S. to make a decision to extradite anyone, let alone someone like Fethullah Gulen who is a well-known business person and an internationally recognized cleric and has a huge following base in Turkey.
Russian Federation agreed to restore ties with Turkey after Erdogan sent his apologies last month to Putin over the death of the Su-24 pilot. “So America from this point on should really think how they will continue to co-operate with Turkey, which is a strategic ally for them in the region and world”.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said he would consider an extradition request should Turkey submit “legitimate evidence [of Mr. Gulen’s involvement] that withstands scrutiny”.
“The files pertaining to their involvement in this coup attempt have not been sent yet”.
