The Russian and Turkish energy ministers will establish a working group on the Turkish Stream project, Alexander Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russian gas giant Gazprom said earlier on Tuesday, according to sputniknews.

The report by Yenisafak had alleged that the Nigerian branch of UBA was the main base for the last six-months of money transactions for the coup plotters.

“So Turkey did not hear us”, he said.

Yasin Aktay, the spokesman of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), said that the failed coup was not only targeted at Turkey but was aimed at hampering the revival of the Islamic world.

“That dishonest man, Fethullah Gulen is their pawn”.

For his part, Vice Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said that the current constitution was “military and undemocratic”. “If there is such an incident, then naturally Fethullah Gulen must be returned to Turkey”, he said.

Gulen, an ally-turned-foe of President Tayyip Erdogan who had built up an extensive network of schools, charities and businesses in Turkey over decades, has condemned the coup attempt and denies any involvement in it.

A poll found that up to two thirds of Turks believe Mr Gulen and his supporters were responsible for the failed putsch.

That could help Erdogan consolidate his power.

At least 246 people were killed and more than 2,000 injured in clashes during the abortive coup. “It seems they can’t leave the politics aside and condemn the coup openly”.

The 11 soldiers being hunted in Marmaris were among a group of commandos who attacked a hotel where Erdogan had been staying. “We were already working on this”, said Albayrak, who was with Erdogan on the coup night.

In 2013, authorities detained a bird on suspicion it was spying for Israel, but freed it after X-rays showed it was not embedded with surveillance equipment, local newspapers said.

The search took place in the hills surrounding Marmaris.

Journalists gather outside a court building in Istanbul on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, to support their colleague, Bulent Mumay, who was detained Tuesday in connection with the investigation launched into the failed coup attempt on July 15.

Weapons, hand grenades and ammunition have been seized in the countryside around Marmaris in an operation based on information from detained soldiers, said Amir Cicek, governor of Mugla province where Marmaris is located.

It was at this point that, through FaceTime and using channels that had not been taken over, Erdogan made his now famous call to citizens to defeat the coup, Albayrak explained.
