Turkey strikes Islamic State group positions in Syria
According to the report, Turkish artillery killed 34 IS extremists, while drone strikes killed another 29. A house in Kilis also caught fire, the agency reported. Two Islamic State militants outside the building were killed and several others were thought to have been inside.

This latest death follows similar attacks Sunday, when eight people were injured after four rockets landed in the same area, prompting a return of fire across the border by the Turkish military.
The province of Gaziantep, bordering Islamic State-held Syrian territory, is home to a large Syrian refugee population and there have been multiple police raids on suspected Islamic State militants there over the past months.
The Turkish army shared the intelligence gathered from Syria’s north with the U.S.-led coalition and the operation was launched, it said.
In the past year, Turkey has also witnessed suicide bombings linked to the IS as well as attacks linked to Kurdish militants.

One person was wounded in Tuesday’s attack on the town, the security sources said.

Last night’s cross-border rocket attack inside Turkey killed 18-year-old Syrian national Nur Dervis.
Meanwhile three Turkish soldiers were killed and 14 others wounded in the attack in Kurdish-dominated Mardin province to the east of Gaziantep carried out by Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants, the army said.
Turkey’s Interior Minister said on May 2 that up to 50 people were detained for questioning in Gaziantep over the May 1 attack there.
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu was quoted as saying last week that the United States would deploy a rocket launcher system near the stretch of border that has come under attack.
