Turkish Police Detain 30 In Raid Against IS
The sweep comes a day after a series of police raids were launched on more than a dozen houses in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir.

The clash took place in the Kayapinar district of the mainly Kurdish city of Diyarbakir.
The dead militants had all been trained as suicide bombers, police said.
On Monday, the provincial governor’s office showed off the arsenal of weapons and explosives captured by police during the operation, including two Kalashnikov assault rifles, eight pistols, a hunting rifle, military-grade explosives, ammonium nitrate and hand grenades.
Earlier, officials said the men had been killed by a booby trap bomb in the raid.
There have been several arrests across Turkey since the July 20 Suruc suicide bombing that killed 32 people; most of the suspects detained since then have alleged links to the terrorist groups PKK, KCK, Daesh as well as the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front.
Turkey has time and again been blamed for being one of the main supporters of the militant groups operating in Syria, with reports saying that Ankara actively trains and arms the Takfiri militants there and facilitates their safe passage into the Arab country.

Last week, President Tayyip Erdogan, said Syrian intelligence and Kurdish militants as well as IS, were behind the attack on a rally of pro-Kurdish activists and civic groups.
