Turnbull reaches out to Abbott supporters

There’s been little political appetite for structural changes to tax since 2000, when a 10 percent levy on goods and services sales was introduced amid public opposition.

Prime minister Malcolm Turnbull met with Muslin community leaders today to enlist their support to flight terrorism and violent extremism.

He is using ministers as they should be used: administrators of their domains and his chief advisers. Turnbull needs to be careful his interest in innovation doesn’t become a stream of taxpayer-funded boondoggles.
