TV reporter makes boy cry on first day of school
A news reporter in the US accidentally reduced a youngster to tears after she asked him a question that was just too much to bear on his first day of school.

On social media some people slammed the reporter for asking such a sensitive question, while others defended Ms Friel.
We only laugh because we know Andrew will be okay, that this is a typical reaction for any very young man going off to school for the first time.
Initially Andrew answered questions with a cheeky grin on his face.
But that’s what happened when KTLA interviewed Andrew, a pre-K student getting ready for his first day. For the litttlest kids, it was the first day of pre-kindergarten.
“Are you going to miss your mom?”, reporter Courtney Friel asked.
The 4-year-old was a little less sure when she asked him why. Of course, like all kids, I was joyfully coloring just an hour later, but even as an adult I still remember that feeling of sheer terror and loss.
Fortunately his mum was on stand by to give him a big hug.
