TvOS 10 Beta 7 Now Rolling Out

The release notes don’t say anything specific about what’s new in the build, but there are only two pages of “Notes and Known Issues” now, with just one item listed as a known issue.

If you have an iPhone or iPad running either iOS 10 beta 7 or iOS 10 public beta 6, you’ll be able to install the new update by going to Settings General Software Update and following the instructions on your device.

With Apple’s September 7 event just around the corner, hype is reaching fever pitch.

There are now no details about the exact changed implemented in these new Beta releases, but we have a feeling that they have something to do with the fact that Apple pushed last evening the fifth stable maintenance update to the iOS 9 series of its mobile OS, patching two kernel security issues and a WebKit bug that could have allowed attackers to steal sensitive information.

Apple today seeded another beta build to developers using tvOS 10. Once a beta profile has been installed on the device through iTunes, new beta updates will be available over the air. The update will include a new Lock screen experience with 3D Touch-enabled notifications, a more easily accessible camera, a redesigned Control Center, and a brand-new widgets screen. Apple is expected to release the final public version of iOS 10 in early September ahead of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus release, so the iOS 10 GM (Gold Master) build should be released sometime soon.
