Twenty20 Series Win v India Will Give Proteas Confidence: Duminy
The visitors clinched the three-match series 2-0 after the third and final match was called off without a ball being bowled due to rain and soggy outfield at the Eden Gardens here.

Expressing disappointment over the game being abandoned, the south paw said the upcoming ODI series will be hard-fought.
Proteas coach, Russell Domingo, says the squad will hit the reset button after the high of the T20 worldwide series win as they prepare for the first One-Day global (ODI) against India in Kanpur on Sunday.
And Domingo has already identified Ravichandran Ashwin as the potential threat, who has managed to get their star batsman AB de Villiers two times. That’s possibly the most fitting way of describing India’s T20 home series against South Africa, that wrapped up in Kolkata last night.
Domingo said that India are good in all the three formats of the game, adding that his side need to be at the top of the game to compete against the former, Sport24 reported. “Keeping our focus and dealing with all this noise is the main goal”, he said. “I put on the TV and the only thing I’m watching is the highlights of the game and constant analysis”, he said about the challenges of touring India. We just invest in our team, and spend time together as a unit.
As part of the tour, the five-match ODIs will be followed by four Tests in the 72-day-long Freedom Series named after Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi.
But now, as more than half the side get ready to board their flight back home and make way for the ODI team, the South Africans know it’s going to be a completely different ball game. However, mismanagement has resulted in the first ODI being a day encounter.
“I would definitely put it down as one of my better innings, especially in worldwide cricket in the shorter format”.
“The key for me is to stay hungry to perform for the team, and putting in big performances”.
“We have to focus all our energy on Kanpur”.
“We shouldn’t get too cocky and confident on what has happened as we know India are a very quality side”.

Terming the Dharamsala win as a turning point, Duminy said, “It was a big one for us especially chasing 200 gave us a lot of confidence going into the second T20I”. We have a few T20 Internationals in Australia and then Sri Lanka are coming to India.
