Twins Sign Byung-ho Park
Park will receive a four-year, $12 million contract, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports. The Twins hold an option for 2020 worth $6.5 million, which can be bought out for $500,000.

Park, 29, spent nine seasons in the KBO with 137 doubles, 604 RBI and 210 homers in 868 games. He lead the league in both home runs and RBIs.
That’s only $1 million in total salary more than the Pirates paid Jung Ho Kang, Park’s former teammate with the Nexen Heroes, when he signed a four-year contract last winter.
The Twins’ offensive production, though, left much to be desired, as they ranked in the lower half of the AL in hits (14th), home runs (10th), slugging percentage (12th) and extra-base hits (10th). 287 and finished third in NL Rookie of the Year balloting.
The Twins might have hit one out of the park Tuesday with the reported signing of Korea Baseball Organization slugger Byung-ho Park.
Park will be introduced by the Twins at a news conference set for Wednesday morning.

In Park’s 2015 season with the Nexen Heroes, he batted. The Twins faced a December 8 deadline to complete a deal before the posting fee would have been refunded and Park returned to Korea for the 2016 season.
