Twitch App Coming to PS4, PS3, PS Vita
The Twitch app for the PS4 will feature full chat integration, complete emoticon support, and will highlight broadcasts similar to the Live From PlayStation app except it won’t be limited to PS4 broadcasts alone.

During today’s TwitchCon keynote, Twitch cofounder and CEO Emmett Shear announced that the app will release across all Sony Corp.
With YouTube now embarking on a big drive to pry some streaming market share from its rival, Twitch video uploads will potentially rob it of one of its key advantages. Meanwhile, this will be the first ever Twitch App for the PS4 however the live video gaming content streaming app was released for the Xbox One back in 2014.

Other changes coming to Twitch include an update to the site’s “Whispers” feature and a switch to HTML5 in favor of Flash. The news went up over on the official Twitch blog, where they did a quick recap of the keynote that they gave at this year’s convention. They also announced that Whispers 2.0 would also be added to the service, enabling users to now use whisper conversations in separate windows. You no longer have to worry about the whispers being lost in a fast moving chat. At the same time, Twitch is wrestling against the almighty YouTube, so who knows how this video game-streaming rivalry will continue throughout the rest of 2015 and into 2016. This will allow Twitch to offer its service on more platforms. The app will first launch on PlayStation 4 next month, and soon after on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation TV. Twitch cares about its community and it doesn’t seem that it want to lose their users over to YouTube.
