Twitch competitor YouTube Gaming is launching later today
YouTube Gaming, Google’s answer to Amazon-owned Twitch, will finally go live Wednesday, launching on the Web and as an app for mobile devices at 1 p.m. EDT, the tech giant said Tuesday.

The launch reflects the rise in popularity of Let’s Plays and other YouTube gaming content, including the monolithically popular PewDiePie.
YouTube Gaming will give Twitch.tv the biggest competition in the live streaming space it has ever seen.
Excited for YouTube Gaming or are you too involved in Twitch to switch? Lately, however, it has declined in stature, partly thanks to YouTube and partly because of changes to its policies.

YouTube Gaming’s English-language website will be available in any country where YouTube is available. There will also be a chat functionality where viewers can chat with streamers during the event, and for those wondering about quality, it seems that YouTube Gaming will stream at 60fps. This new partition from YouTube will apparently help in enhancing the user experience for gamers. Plus, ads will always be an incentive for content creators and, of course, advertisers. This can be likened to YouTube Live Broadcast where anyone who owns a Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, and Galaxy S6 edge can broadcast videos “live” which can then be watched on YouTube directly. That is definitely in the works, though no definite word has been given, so stay tuned for the formal announcement. Google promises individual pages for more than 25,000 games as well as dedicated channels from game publishers.
