Twitter brawl: Trump tweets threat about Cruz’s wife
The spat started over an anti-Trump campaign ad run on Facebook and Instagram and targeted at conservative Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints voters in Utah and Arizona last week.

Donald Trump escalated his feud with Ted Cruz on Twitter Tuesday — but this time he also involved the Texas senator’s wife.
What “beans” would Trump spill? On Tuesday, that changed with the Trump Tweet above.
The group has no apparent ties to the Cruz campaign.
Donald Trump apparently has no regrets about making a threat against rival Ted Cruz.
Senator Cruz responded quickly, tweeting: “Pic of your wife not from us”.
Make America Awesome The ad, which shows a nearly-nude photo of Melia Trump from a GQ photo spread from 2000, was put out by ‘Make America Awesome, ‘ an independent group opposing Trump’s candidacy.

Heidi Cruz is a senior executive for Goldman Sachs, and took a leave from in order to help her husband’s campaign.
Later that evening, Liz Mair, a political strategist who is founder of the group behind the anti-Trump ads, took to Twitter to clarify that the ads were from her group, Make America Awesome, and were not from Ted Cruz’s campaign.
