According to a post on Twitter’s official blog for status updates, the company was aware of problems affecting its network from around 4 a.m. Eastern time.
Users’ profile pages appeared to be accessible from the mobile app. Third party services, such as the TweetDeck service, also returned a blank page. India and Russian Federation also suffered performance issues, according to a Twitter technical site. Twitter is also insisting that it will fix the problem as soon as possible.

Original story (10:39 GMT): Twitter is experiencing a worldwide outage this morning, which appears to be intermittently preventing users from logging into the service.
But its growth as a social network, campaign platform (see: Donald Trump) and news feed (including the launch of its “Moments” feature last year) made those previous outages pale in comparison.

While folks panicked over missing breaking news and celebrity musings, Twitter managed to post a tweet about the issue-viewable only by those people it didn’t affect.
