Twitter Expands Access to Moments
Last week, Instagram shocked the social-verse by launching a Stories feature that nearly exactly mimicked Snapchat.

Originally debuted last October, Twitter is now opening Moments up to influencers, partners and brands before eventually making it available to the masses “in the coming months”.
Twitter’s Moments feature is about to get bigger.
Beforehand, Twitter’s Moments – collections of tweets that comply with a selected information tales or different conversations unfolding on the social community – have been curated by the corporate and a handful of publishers (together with Mashable). It is also being used by personalities like human rights activist DeRay McKesson and business guru Gary Vaynerchuk’s VaynerMedia.
You’ll soon see a lot more Moments on Twitter.
But whether the expansion will have have any measurable impact on Moments (or its ability to retain new users) is another question.
Last week, Instagram launched its own Instagram Stories service, where photos and stories disappear after 24 hours. It’s recently opened up the verification process and introduced stickers in an attempt to give it broader appeal in the battle with Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat for users’ time.
Instagram has more than 500m users, of whom 300m use the app daily.
