Twitter just released a native Windows 10 app

Twitter is working on an app for Windows 10 for quite some time, so before the Windows 10 release, some screen shot of the app is available at Windows store. This was initially rolled out on the Web and is already available on Android and iOS apps. It is designed to provide top tweets, photos and videos all in Live Tiles. It’ll also showcase tweets in live tiles right from the Start Menu. After a late 2013 launch for the Twitter app on Windows 8, it did not add any meaningful updates to the app. The new looks is quite impressive and it also suits Windows 10 new theme. You can upload up to four images in a tweet, and the app supports Vine playback and animated GIFs. Windows 10 is Microsoft’s attempt to win fans back again, with an operating system that works across both desktop and mobile platforms – a feature it hopes can lure more developers on board.

Twitter for Windows 10 is designed as a Universal Windows application. The app is sized between 2.53MB and 4.77MB, depending on hardware, and is compatible with the devices that are powered by x64 or x86 processors.
