Heads up, Twitter users: The micro-blogging service is rolling out a new feature to help ensure you never miss a live stream from your favorite broadcasters: live notifications.

Further, Twitter will start the business day with streaming Cheddar’s Opening Bell from 9 am to 10:30 am EST.
Second on Twitter’s totally live Monday to-do list is a partnership with Cheddar, a news network that specializes in live technology and business coverage.
After netting deals with Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League and Bloomberg, Twitter continues its push for live video with the Cheddar partnership.
Cheddar’s “Opening Bell” is broadcast daily from the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange and is hosted by Steinberg and Kristen Scholer.
“We are thrilled and proud to make it the exclusive free-to-access platform for our new hour of closing bell coverage”, Steinberg said in a statement. That show will feature “CEO interviews, in-depth earnings coverage” and will “close the business day with an analysis of the day’s news, as well as breaking stories”. “Finance Twitter” is giant, and we are excited to be its digital-first closing bell network”.
Closing Bell, which will air exclusively on Twitter, is hosted by Kristen Scholer and Krysia Lenzo, who will go live from the NASDAQ MarketSite and the New York Stock Exchange. The subscription-video service costs $6.99 per month to watch the full lineup of programming.

Cheddar does not have a strong Twitter follower list. Cheddar’s founder Jon Steinberg previously served as the President and COO of BuzzFeed, a publication that knows a thing or two about live video and millennials. Covering tech and consumer stocks, Cheddar’s investors include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Comcast Ventures, Ribbit Capital, and Homebrew.
