Twitter reacts: Moussa Sissoko rejects Everton to join Tottenham
English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have officially signed French midfielder Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United on a five-year deal.

The France global left Newcastle for Tottenham in a last-minute £30million move on Wednesday, reportedly snubbing Everton in the process.
Sissoko had been preparing for France’s friendly in Italy on Thursday.
Farhad Moshiri, the co-owner of Everton, has claimed that the club decided against signing Moussa Sissoko because they did not want to jeopardise the future of James McCarthy.
The Frenchman, however, has agreed a transfer to Tottenham and is now travelling to England to undergo medical with the North London club ahead of signing a contract with the Spurs.
He said: “I signed for Newcastle, I spent three-and-a-half years there, everything was good and now I have the chance to come here (to Tottenham) and continue my progress”. I have played at a World Cup and a Euro. “It’s true that Wednesday was rather stressful, t was completed in the final hours”.
Sissoko took to Twitter to confirm that his move went through shortly before the 11pm deadline with the midfielder sharing a photo of him posing with the Tottenham shirt.
“I have the opportunity to make another step up”. There are discussions to be had and I just hope to find the best club for me, where I can develop myself as much as possible.
Another driving force which convinced Sissoko to join Spurs was his French teammate Hugo Lloris.
“Fans will know that sometimes the team spirit was not strong last season, and that was part of the problem why we got relegated. But if we are not happy, then he can stay here and I will be really, really pleased to keep him”.
The goalkeeper added: “It’s true that our squad is very young and the young players need more experienced players around them”.
“Away from the pitch he’s a very quiet guy but he is amusing too!”

“Sissoko is a great player”, Moshiri said in a statement.
