Twitter Roast Meek Mill Over Drake And Safaree Diss Songs

We are now more than a week into the Drake vs. Meek Mill beef that has taken over social media, and the music industry at large. “Meek Mill tweeted saying Drake doesn’t write his own lyrics”, he said, breaking down their conflict.

News of the duo’s ongoing feud comes on the heels of reports that suggest Meek Mill was booed in Toronto during his The Pinkprint tour stop on Wednesday and was detained at the Canadian border for reasons stemming from his 2008 gun and drug conviction.

Mill’s album, “Dreams Worth More Than Money”, released on June 29 and charted at No. 1.

Meek has yet to respond to both of Drake’s diss tracks, although he has teased a release is coming any day now.

It’s not hard to notice the extra publicity Meek Mill has received since the feud began.

Meek posted a freakish message on his Twitter account on Tuesday, writing only the letter “Z” in a tweet posted to his account on July 29. Only one person even knew who he was, and that’s because “I think he’s sleeping with Nicki Minaj” – and even then, that respondent didn’t know any of Meek’s songs. Or, well, the portion of the hip-hop world that apparently knows who Meek Mill is, anyway.

It’s an interesting plan for Meek Mill to infuriate a former friend to get more exposure for his own projects – if that is indeed the case.

But it’s on Twitter where Meek Mill is getting the bulk of the damage with fans supplying an endless amount of memes.
