Twitter teases new updates ahead of its second Flight developer conference
At the 2014 Twitter Flight, the company announced Fabric, a mobile developer kit, which is an assortment of tools for helping people perform tasks such as identifying bugs in beta testing codes, selling an ad space within an app and more.

That puts Twitter Flight in approach foe with Facebook’s F8, Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference and Google I/O, that also pull developers to San Francisco. The experience will be available to logged-out users, a demographic that has become increasingly important to the company.
The conference is scheduled for October 21 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. An agenda has not yet been released, though attendees can expect new tools for tracking the performance of their apps, and for weaving Twitter content into their apps, which might include Twitter advertising. Moreover, many people applauded last year’s conference that would have encouraged Twitter to host Twitter Flight again this year and probably make it a yearly occurrence.
Post the keynote by Twitter’s product team member and executives, Sridharan reveals that the company will delve into “three tracks of technical sessions”. Hundreds of app developers participated. The event’s return comes as Twitter continues to face questions over the value of its service, and persistent investor concerns over user growth.
The company also recently let go of its head of Twitter Communications, Gabriel Stricker; the move was made due to the networking platform’s aim to “shift its communication strategy for growing success”. Twitter, that acquired Gnip final year for $134 million, sells that information to advertisers and other companies in some-more than 40 countries. The site stated in an article that the company, during the conference, may launch its live events platform nicknamed The Lightning Project.

While Answers previously gave minimalistic input to developers about their apps, mostly information like sign ups, new downloads, it now shows more comprehensive data, including Daily Active Users, Top Builds Daily New Users Sessions per Active User, Monthly Active Users Sessions, Retention and a lot of other parameters. Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter is now the interim chief until the company will find a replacement for Costolo. The more Twitter is able to disseminate its features and software into outside apps, the better its ability to expand its user base.
