Twitter added that it has “five priorities” for 2016, including to deal with the “confusing” aspects of the site, such as how users can reply to messages both publicly and more directly using the site’s existing rules.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey returned as CEO last summer, promising to re-ignite growth in the social networking firm.
Twitter’s real-time stream will then be displayed underneath in the same reverse-chronological order, allowing users to also keep track of real-time discussions on Twitter. Meaning that users won’t see the feature unless it is manually activated.
Still, with Twitter’s performance in the fourth quarter, it’s unclear whether a revamped timeline is enough to impress investors as the company struggles forward through a recent restructuring of leadership.
Bain said Twitter is already diversified, pointing to its businesses in syndicated ads, data and licensing, as well as its advertising exchange MoPub.
“Show me the best Tweets first”, reads a toggle within Twitter’s settings. When you get it, you’ll receive a notification, and the new timeline will automatically be turned on. Tech site BuzzFeed first reported at the weekend that there would be a shift in the placement of tweets to promote more popular content and that the new change is created to keep users more engaged with the platform. The app is introducing home timeline that will show the “best tweets first”, rather than listing them in reverse chronological order.
KitGuru Says: Do you use Twitter much?
“You follow hundreds of people on Twitter, maybe thousands, and when you open Twitter, it can feel like you’ve missed some of their most important Tweets”.
The new endeavor is part of Twitter’s effort to bring in new users to its stagnant current user base and to restore its investors’ faith in the company after its disappointing earnings report.
