Glendale Union High School District alerted parents to the shooting through emails and automatic phone calls and released information on social media, Superintendent Brian Capistran said.

Parents will be notified as soon as it is safe for students to be picked up from campus. “Your children are safe and this is not a unsafe situation”, Breeden said, according to The Arizona Republic.

All that has been confirmed thus far is that two students have been injured and that police aren’t looking for an active shooter.

“This is not an active shooter situation and we realized that once we got on scene”, says Glendale Police Officer Tracey Breeden.
