Two Australians injured in London stabbing attack, American victim named

A USA national was killed and five people injured Wednesday evening after a knife-wielding man attacked bystanders in Central London, according to CNN.
A 64-yr-old American woman, Darlene Horton was on Wednesday night killed with five others injured in a knife attack at the Russell square, central London.
The Metropolitan Police said they received numerous calls starting at 10:30 p.m. local time (2130 GMT) describing a “man attacking people with a knife” between Russell Square, Montague Street, Bloomsbury Square and Great Russell Street.
There are no words to express our heartache over this awful tragedy.
The University said its students had already left the program for the summer and that none were involved in the incident. The couple had planned to return to Tallahassee Thursday, Pitts said.
Police said earlier that the suspect was transferred to a London police station on Thursday morning after he was treated in hospital for unspecified injuries.

London mayor Sadiq Khan called for “calm and vigilance” after the attack and said peoples safety “is my number one priority”.
