Taco Bell described the incident as “unacceptable” but “isolated”. Although the suspicious items found in the restaurant were not used in the kitchen, the employee has been terminated and our franchisee is considering pressing criminal charges.

Officers went inside the restaurant at the request of a manager and the investigators found materials identified as equipment for the production of methamphetamine. But it was unclear if meth had actually been cooked in the restaurant.

Authorities have now charged 31-year-old Christopher Matous and 56-year-old Kent Duby.
