The children, 5-month and 2-year-old boys, were reportedly handed over to casino security after being rescued, and appeared to be “physically OK”.

Detroit police were called to the parking garage at 11:25 a.m. Monday on a report of kids left unattended in a vehicle. “They were removed from the vehicle by a citizen who forced entry into the auto”.

MotorCity Casino spokeswoman Jacci Woods described how the events unfolded in to a statement to Epoch Times. We’re told he managed to get them out safely and turn them over to police. The children initially were reported to be under 1 years old.

The father, police said, was later located on the casino floor. The relatively high temperatures can become deadly for people left inside a parked auto without any ventilation.

Police have not said whether the father was arrested.
