They said the security personnel allegedly opened fire to chase away the protestors which left three locals – Pervaiz Ahmad Dar, Junaid Shalla and Danish Ahmad Dar – injured.

The officer said the encounter broke out when militants fired at a party of security forces which had gone to Dogripora village following a tip-off about presence of militants. The protesters alleged that the civilians were injured in the firing by the security forces. Sources said that two militants are believed to be holed up in the area.
