Two games, 1035 yards – blame the Raiders defense
The Atlanta Falcons (0-1) lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 31-24, last week in which Matt Ryan threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns. Oakland Raiders in Week 2 of the 2016 National Football League regular season takes place on Sunday afternoon at 4:25 PM ET gets underway at O.co Coliseum, CA.

The ball bounced the right way for the Falcons against the Oakland Raiders. Atlanta opened the game with an early 10-3 lead after the first, but Jameis Winston threw four touchdown passes in the second and third quarters and never looked back. The Raiders defense didn’t show up last week. Against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, he completed 26 of 34 passes.
The Raiders have allowed opponents to complete 71.1 per cent of their passes, are giving up 8.0 yards per play, and have just two sacks through two games.
On the other side of the ball, the defense – the secondary in particular – will be looking to bounce back from a terrible performance against New Orleans.
There aren’t a lot of reasons to worry about the Oakland offense. But rather than kick the extra point to tie it, the Raiders went for the two-point conversion.
The Raiders fell to 1-1, already a game behind the defending Super Bowl-champion Broncos in the AFC West.
On the flip side the defense doesn’t look improved.
The Falcons held on to win, 35-28. The running game was what was keeping the Atlanta offense from taking that next step last week and this week it came through big. Will the defense be able to bounce back and dominate?
The Atlanta Falcons didn’t look awful in Week 1 – on offense.
The defence has had little of that so far this season, allowing 507 yards in a season-opening 35-34 win at New Orleans and 528 in the loss to the Falcons.
JD: I think Freeman’s 2015 season was the ceiling of what fantasy owners can expect in his career, but I’m also not selling him entirely this season.
PH: His two rushing touchdowns last week were unexpected considering he had zero his entire rookie season. Today against the Falcons, Cooper was up to his old tricks once again.
“And we’ll correct what needs to be corrected and we’ll go forward”. The Falcons owned the middle of the field, with Ryan repeatedly finding Jacob Tamme and Julio Jones on slant routes.

And it’s not thanks to a fearless Falcons fan starting sh*t in the middle of a Raider Nation crowd, but rather two (then a third) card-carrying (or at least jersey-owning) members of the team’s support getting into one of the most slow-developing fights you’ll ever see, resulting in the loser-actually, let’s call him the “defeated” due to the high probability that the victors are, in their own ways, losers themselves-getting repeteadly knocked to the ground before being led away by a friend. The field conditions play a huge advantage to the home team, and leave the falcons winless in the season for week 2.
