Two-headed Miss Universe? Miss Philippines rejects sharing crown
Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach stopped by Good Morning America and Live With Kelly and Michael on Monday, the first official day of her reign, where she talked about getting the crown after Steve Harvey famously flubbed the results on live TV.

“I think it would be a little bit hard for two girls to share a crown”, she said on the show.
Wurtzbach was named the new Miss Universe after host Steve Harvey mistakenly named Gutierrez Arevalo the victor.
ET spoke with the official victor, Pia Wurtzbach, who revealed she is still disappointed by the mix-up.
Miss Universe victor Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has shunned calls for her to share her crown with Miss Colombia, admitting it would be too “difficult”.
In a translation of the interview by the Latin Times, she said: “It was very humiliating for me, but also for the whole country and for all the people, not only (those) from Colombia, but the other Latinos that were in the auditorium”. “If it was other way around I would have felt the same way, but I know that she’s very attractive, she’s talented, she has a lot of potential and I’m sure that she’ll have other opportunities, a lot of other opportunities”.
After the blunder that shocked the world following Harvey’s first naming Miss Columbia as the new Miss Universe, before realising his mistake, and then calling Miss Philippines as the true victor. “You are Miss Universe.’ That’s when I had my good cry backstage, [and] that’s when it finally [sunk] in”, she said.
During the interview Wutzbach shared that she “greeted” Miss Colombia on her birthday and checked in how she was doing. Most of the girls had voted for Miss Philippines.
“All I heard people saying backstage was, ‘That’s the wrong name!’…All I hear is confusion backstage”, he explained. “You make a mistake, own up to it, so I went out there and I said I made a mistake And I tried to fix it, I tried to fix it right there”.
“I understand how they feel because of course they want their [contestant] to win”.

“I went up to my parents’ room and obviously, I was very sad”, she said. She said she was grateful to bring happiness to her fellow Colombians – if only for a couple of minutes.
