A Palestinian man claimed responsibility for a stabbing attack on Friday in the West Bank, identifying himself in a video uploaded to Facebook hours after the attack took place.

The fact of the matter is that the number of Israeli settlers on Palestinian land has increased from 200,000 in 1993 to 600,000 today thanks to an annual contribution of $6 Billion from Israeli public subsidies. Between the stone throwings, petrol bomb attacks, shootings and stabbings, many have been killed and over 320 wounded. Yet more intifadas are inevitable, whether they last a week, three or seven years, since the collective injustices experienced by Palestinians remain the common denominator among the successive generations of fellahin and their descendants of refugees.

Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian in the Gaza Strip on Friday during clashes along the border, the enclave’s health ministry said.

Israel’s policy of detaining Palestinians without charge has been described as “slavery” by Mohamed Allan, a prisoner who held an nearly fatal hunger strike to protest his imprisonment.

Israeli deaths are foregrounded, with those of Palestinians often appearing as a dependent clause, even though they are far greater. According to them, gas and sound bombs were fired by the israeli troops fired towards the citizens and journalists who had gathered at the scene.

There is certainly a strong despondency, with Palestine’s chief negotiator recently admitting that he had been “unable to deliver” an independent Palestinian state after 23 years of negotiations with Israel.

There are numerous examples for Palestinian incitement, and organizations like the Middle East Media Research Institute, the Palestinian Media Watch and the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC), as well as official Israeli intelligence bodies, have their hands full documenting events on the ground.

JJ: Let me continue on that idea of what sends a message.

The escalating violence comes ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington on Monday to meet with US President Barrack Obama. Tell us a little about that.

The State Department’s “2014 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices” found that while Palestinian laws provided for freedom of expression and did not forbid criticizing the administration, these “do not specifically provide for freedom of press”. “He said they would kill us if we didn’t go home”. The other 27 Palestinians were killed during protests or accidents. India has strong ties with the Palestinian people.

JJ: We’ve been speaking with Yousef Munayyer.

Since her call for “struggle” to defend the mosque from the Jews, the radical Knesset member has been more explicit in urging violence, telling a Hamas newspaper that the lone-wolf stabbing should be expended into a full-fledged “intifada”.
