Two Jet Airways crew injured in Brussels blasts

Two staffers of Jet Airways were reportedly injured in the terror attack at Brussels airport.

Uploaded to social media, the photo was shared by millions as the full horror of the terrorist attack became apparent.

According to the airline, the injured staff members have received medical care.

She said that there were hundreds of passengers running out with their baggages.

Georgian journalist Ketevan Kardava snapped what is set to be an iconic picture of two female survivors in the moments after the twin blasts at Zaventem airport yesterday.

Meanwhile, Rahul Taneja, chief people officer of Jet Airways, tweeted: “Proud of our courageous hearts Nidhi and Amit who held onto their nerves in time of crisis. “Or take a photo?” she said.

Security forces herded thousands of people to the back of the airport, where she said they were waiting to learn when it would be safe enough to leave. “Due to a technical issue with one of the aircraft, Jet Airways has combined its flights from Amsterdam to Mumbai and Delhi”.

Families of Amit Motwani and Nidhi Chapekar, the Jet Airways crew members from Mumbai who were injured in the Brussels airport attack on Tuesday, made several desperate attempts to contact them, but couldn’t get through. “We have been told there are some fractures and burns but we don’t know the extent”. “I just want to hear her voice once”. Chaphekar was one of the two flight attendants travelling with the airline, where she has been reportedly working for the past 15 years.

Currently, Jet Airways operates daily non-stop flights to its European gateway at Brussels airport from its domestic hubs in Mumbai and New Delhi. The explosion happened at around 8:00 AM local time on Tuesday and suicide bombers have been identified, their images were caught on CCTV. But Brussels airport remains closed.
