Just over six hours later, at around 3.30am Tuesday, Cornelius was recaptured by police.

37-year-old Christopher Cornelius and 29-year-old Matthew Johnson were reported missing about 9 p.m. Monday.
The corrections office said the duo had escaped after they were, “assigned to an interior work detail”, according to NBC News. We have buried several of his friends.
Johnson was also apprehended early Tuesday morning.
“I wouldn’t wish this on anybody”, Billie Jo Johnson said.
Cornelius and Johnson had been booked at the correction center for charges of possession of heroin, said Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. Johnson was booked July 31 on charges including drug paraphernalia.
