Officers found the subject in a auto outside the 7-Eleven at 2093 Lynnhaven Parkway.

A child was also in the auto and was not injured, police said.

A bullet pierced the clothing of one officer but he was not injured, reports TV Station WTKR. He was not harmed.

The authorities then fired back at the vehicle and killed the suspect and an unidentified female driver in the auto, police said.

A male passenger, who has not been identified, was a suspect in a homicide investigation. Borman didn’t know their races, or the officers’ races.

Ofc. Borman said an infant was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
