‘Two Palestinians killed by Israeli troops’

Clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian demonstrators erupted in a West Bank refugee camp overnight Monday after Israeli forces arrived to demolish the home of a Palestinian militant, leaving two Palestinians dead.

A weapon and vehicle used in the shooting on Friday have also been seized. Eighty-one Palestinians have been killed, including 51 said by Israel to have been involved in assaults.

Comparing the Paris attacks to Palestinian terrorism against Israel, Netanyahu told his cabinet ministers on Sunday, “The time has come for countries to condemn terrorism against us to the same degree that they condemn terrorism everywhere else in the world”. Since October 1, 12 Israelis have been killed.

On Saturday, Israeli troops razed the West Bank homes of four Palestinians accused of attacking Israelis, hours after an Israeli father and son were shot dead in an ambush near the flashpoint city of Hebron.

It says the controversial policy acts as a deterrent but critics say the main victims of such demolitions are relatives forced to pay for another person’s actions.

Israeli security forces later arrested five Palestinians it said had been part of a Hamas cell that carried out the attack.

Israeli escalation continued; seven Palestinians were killed by Israeli army gunfire this week, meanwhile the European Union made a decision to label Israeli settlement products.

Also on Friday, two Israeli settlers were killed in a shooting attack near the Jewish settlement of Otniel in southern Hebron.

Dozens of other Palestinians were injured in the clashes, with Yusuf Abu Latifa, 17, critically wounded and taken by Israeli forces to hospital.

Moreover, Palestinian man was killed, on Thursday, his seriously wounded cousin was kidnapped by undercover Israeli soldiers who opened fire at them in the Surgery Ward of Ahli hospital in Hebron where Abdullah was being treated from his previous wounds.

The current violence began in mid-September with clashes in and around a Jerusalem holy site revered by Muslims and Jews.

“Our mission is to provide care to anybody who needs it. We don’t look at religion”.

“The global community must intervene to protect our people from the Israeli killing machine”, he said.

The young Palestinians “live online”, the Shin Bet said, and are acting on information circulated on the Internet about “Israeli aggression” and the “execution” of the alleged Palestinian terrorists.
