Two Palestinians shot dead after stabbing Israeli soldier – army
Many of the Palestinians killed have been attackers while others have been shot dead by Israeli security forces during clashes.

The Palestinian health ministry said that the assailants were Mohammed Sabaaneh, aged 17, and Nur Eddine Sabaaneh, 23, from Qabatia near Jenin in the north of the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

Tensions have dramatically escalated since the Israeli regime’s imposition of restrictions in August on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

US-backed peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel collapsed in April 2014 after nine months of fruitless meetings amid bitter recriminations and mutual blame. Palestinians say the violence stems from frustration over almost five decades of Israeli military rule.

Israel has been holding the bodies of several dozen Palestinians for fear that returning them will set off angry massive funeral processions that will lead to further violence.
