Two Players In No Man’s Sky Reached The Same But Different Place
The No Man’s Sky PS4 version runs fine most of the time capped at 30 FPS but due to the lack of loading screens the FPS do take a toll when you enter into new planets and the terrain is revealed for the first time.

No Man’s Sky is a huge game that I don’t think I fully have a handle on.
Seriously, if you know you’re getting the game, you should probably stop reading this list and head off to explore in your own fashion. There are even some story elements sprinkled in to keep pushing you towards the ultimate goal in what is basically a single-player experience (there’s nearly zero chance you’ll bump into any other player). The game’s main thrust is to explore the unknown universe with an early goal of fixing a ship.
No Man’s Sky is now a game that’s out there. Randomly throughout your travels, you can encounter an Anomaly.
If you press the R1 button, you can pistol whip whatever’s directly in front of you.
Wandering around a toxic planet is about as risky as you’d expect.
The blog post goes into more detail, including addressing what the game is against what the expectations of it might be.
I want to be clear here.
A big help is in learning new words in these languages, giving you a few extra clues what they want. If you make the right choice, you’re rewarded. In order to do both, I need to collect very specific resources that can recharge these tools; but while this new planet is teeming with animals, resources are far more scattered, and I see none of what I need as I trudge toward the grave.
Destructoid expanded on the issue, calling inventory management a “nightmare” in its review-in-progress. Awakening on an alien world with a crashed ship and barely any resources, you’re mostly left to your own devices.
My biggest concern at this stage is getting exhausted of the grinding required and losing interest because of the size of the game, and that it’s procedural, so there’s a lack of persistency. Then just wander up to the ship’s front and start chatting to the pilot. You can also interact with local wildlife by feeding them, or killing them – entirely up to you. If you hoped for things like pvp multiplayer or city building, piloting freighters, or building civilizations… that isn’t what NMS is.
In other interviews, Murray repeated that same point several times, telling media outlets that it’d be unlikely for two players to see one another, but that it could definitely happen.
I’ve talked a lot about inventory slots, but you’ll understand if you’re playing the game. Are you fearless enough to find out what awaits you on the other side? Neither are as common as carbon, but you can find plutonium on nearly every planet by looking for red crystals and thanium9 by shooting asteroids in space. You start out with a mining laser which you use to gather all the resources that you find. Now, you are able and encouraged to upgrade your laser so that you are able to scan resources, use it as a regular gun to fight hostile things, and much more I am assuming.
In the early bits, though? No Man’s Sky brings to life what most of us can only imagine is out there.
Not only that, but drones are a great source of Titanium. In addition to constantly keeping my life support system in top shape, I also have to worry about maintaining the tech that keeps me safe from the poisonous air all around me. If you keep it cool around patrolling Sentinels, they shouldn’t give you too much grief. However, more recently, he has been telling players that No Man’s Sky is not a multiplayer game. This goes against what we previously knew about the game, which was that other players would be visible in-game, even if the game would make no special effort to demarcate real players.
I shot off to a relatively desolate, risky planet which I’ve yet to name (I’ll probably christen it “McConaughey’s Tear” after I’ve finished this).

Sh*t, I just remembered, we’ve got another thing we’re already working on that’s unannounced.
