Two soldiers and three suspected militants were killed in a clash in Bannu’s Daryaba area on Thursday.

The suspected militants had attacked the Khadim security checkpost, to which in responsive firing the security personnel killed three “terrorists”, the Dawn reported.
Bodies of martyred security personnel were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). Sources said early in the morning a group of more than 10 armed militants, taking advantage of darkness, attacked the security check-post. He was wanted by the law-enforcement agencies and security forces for his involvement in bombings and kidnappings.
Daryoba is a sparsely populated area in the FR Bannu region which serves as a buffer zone between the tribal and settled areas in northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

However, the militants continue launching sporadic attacks on security forces there.
