Saint-Denis is one of France’s most historic places. Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said the British ship will provide air defense cover for the Charles de Gaulle carrier, which has left the French port city of Toulon.

French and Belgian authorities are conducting a large-scale manhunt for suspected perpetrators of Friday’s attacks in Paris and alleged accomplices.

French police were on Thursday sifting through the wreckage from a huge raid targeting the suspected mastermind of the Paris attacks as lawmakers prepared to vote on extending a state of emergency. El Khazzani has been jailed in France on charges including attempted murder in connection with terrorism and participation in a terror conspiracy.

Seven attackers died in Friday’s attacks, which targeted several bars and restaurants and the Bataclan concert hall, as well as the national stadium.

IS, meanwhile, released a new video threatening NY, and specifically Times Square, although police said there was no “current and specific” threat.

Among those killed include a woman who blew herself up during a shootout with police in the northern suburb of Paris.

The hunt to nab Belgian jihadist Abaaoud took a bloody turn on Wednesday with police personnel storming an apartment building in Saint-Denis, a bustling suburb home to many immigrants.

“He’s not my boyfriend!”

The operation started at around 4 a.m. ET., when explosions and gunfire could be heard near two apartments in Saint-Denis.

Police have issued the photograph of one of the three men who blew themselves up outside the Stade de France, who investigators have established entered Europe through Greece, as hundreds of thousands of refugees have done this year. “The investigation will establish precisely how this Belgo-Moroccan was involved”.

The Paris attacks have galvanized global determination to confront the militants. None of the dead, Molins said, have been positively identified.

Investigators are also seeking the ninth suspect from the auto with the Abdeslam brothers, who gunned down five people in front of the bar A La Bonne Biere, a source close to the inquiry said. A female suicide bomber blew herself up during the raid, RTL said on Twitter. It also remains unclear why the three detonated their suicide vests in near-empty areas while 80,000 spectators were inside watching a France-German friendly football match. “No anti-Semitic or anti-Muslim act can be tolerated”, Hollande said.

Now a prominent member of Isis, Abaaoud first travelled to Syria previous year – but seemingly not out of any great religious motivation.

French President Francois Hollande declared war on ISIS and has been carrying out airstrikes with help from the United States. The measure now goes to the Senate, where it likely will be approved.

But Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said that ignoring the Syrian government in the effort is “weakening the possibility of our joint fight against terrorism”. “Everyone must understand that it is urgent for Europe to recover, get organized and defend itself against the terrorist threat”, Cazeneuve said.

Hollande is due to meet US President Barack Obama in Washington two days before that to push for a concerted drive against Islamic State, which controls large parts of Syria and Iraq. But two US officials said that many, though not all, of those identified were on the U.S.no-fly list.
