Two Team USA swimmers taken off flight from Brazil
U.S. Olympic Committee spokesman Patrick Sandusky confirmed Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz were detained but had no other details.

On Sunday morning, word got out that Lochte has been robbed in Rio, but was okay.
Lochte, a gold medalist and reality TV show star, claimed on Sunday that he and the three other swimmers were robbed at about 4 a.m.in a taxi headed for the Olympic Village in Rio. The swimmers did not speak to reporters upon leaving the airport and getting shuttled away in a black auto waiting outside.
However, the judge did not mention Bentz or Conger, according to the paper.
Ostrow said his client, a gold medal victor in the pool in Rio, would not turn himself in if police in Brazil issued a warrant for him.
But now CCTV footage showing the group appearing relaxed and carrying valuables after the incident has been released and it’s led to Brazilian authorities investigating whether the group lied. They said a third American swimmer, James Feigan, also will speak to the police Thursday.
“We’re now trying to get all the information that is available”, Braga said.
Lauer concluded by sharing Lochte’s response to speculation that he and his fellow swimmers made up the robbery to cover up some illicit activity or embarrassing behavior that would have possibly gotten them in trouble.
United States Olympic Committee officials said earlier Wednesday that they could not disclose Feigen’s location due to standard security protocols.

Brazilian police pulled two US Olympic swimmers off a plane about to leave the country for questioning in a row over their claim to have been victims of an armed mugging, US officials said Wednesday. If they need to get in touch with me, we have always been fully cooperating. Feigen was still in Rio de Janeiro, the spokesman said. “But I’m safe. Everything’s fine”.
Lochte is already in the USA but Feigen is still in Brazil, the attorney said.
The police interview was friendly and casual, much less intense than one he went through with police in the US when he reported a home burglary, he said.
Lauer said the swimmer had altered parts of his story, but the guts of it remained true.
“I can’t talk right now”, Feigen said. However, Lochte’s father said Wednesday that his gold medal-winning son had arrived back in the United States before the edict.
“I’m just happy he’s safe”, the elder Lochte said. Lochte told him he his three teammates were victims. I don’t know what all the controversy is.
Instead, Lochte told Lauer one of the assailants had merely pointed a gun in their direction when they emerged from a service station toilet and tried to get into a taxi, only to have the driver prevent them from getting in. By the time of the injunction, Lochte, and his teammate Feigen could get on a plane to return home.
Judge Keyla Blank “issued warrants for searches and the seizure of the passports for the United States swimmers”, a statement from her office said.
The USOC said police went to the athletes village Wednesday morning to try to collect the passports, but the swim team had already moved out.
The fact that the four swimmers delayed their report of the crime was among the reasons Rio officials grew suspicious. He also said he recalled that he and his teammates were forced to lie on the ground while they had money and other items stolen.
Feigen, who told the San Antonio Express he was still in Brazil, won gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay. The two were taken off their flight from Brazil to the US on Wednesd.
The Associated Press reported Tuesday night that police investigating the caser have found little evidence to support the swimmers’ account.
“Why would anybody fabricate anything?”
