According to Fort Myers police, three people have been detained and are being questioned about the shooting.

Injuries ranged from minor to life-threatening.

Four people are still in the hospital. Two are in fair condition and two are still in ICU, according to Drew Mikulaschek, a doctor with Lee Memorial Trauma Center.

Bland said his 23-year-old son’s stomach was grazed by a bullet, but he has since been released from the hospital. The club posted a status on Facebook shortly after the shooting criticizing commenters for speculating about the attack, before replacing the status with another expressing sadness for the victims and asserting that the event had had armed security.

The shooting took place in the parking lot of Club Blu Bar and Grill.

Police said they want to talk to some of the victims who were treated and released from the hospital and haven’t yet spoken with investigators.

Two teenagers were identified as the two victims killed in a shooting outside a Florida club early this morning. Strawnder’s 19-year-old sister, Sharrelle was also shot, suffering a wound to the leg during the incident. The same records show that a complaint was filed in 2014 for “criminal activity” and that the club was given an official notice.

A flier posted on Facebook advertised the club’s “Swimsuit Glow Party” Sunday night. It was not immediately clear what triggered the violence. He has spoken with Mayor Randy Henderson and law enforcement officials to offer any assistance needed from the state.

‘We will continue to pray for the victims and their families’. There was nothing more we could of done az (sic) you see it was not kids at the party that did this despicable act. One of the victims was as young as 12 years old.

“We are deeply sorry for all involved”.

The club says the shooting happened as the club was closing.

Authorities said that they have one suspect apprehended, but believe to have another still at large.

The area is “deemed safe at this time”, a police statement said, but Evans Avenue, between Carrell Road and Winkler Avenue, has been closed, and motorists were told to take alternate routes.

The shooting comes more than a month after a nightclub shooting in Orlando that was the deadliest shooting in modern USA history. The shooting at the Pulse nightclub on June 12 left 49 victims dead and 53 others wounded.

Authorities say two people have been killed and more than a dozen shot at a nightclub in Fort Myers, Florida.
