Two-Thirds of Voters Concerned or Frightened of Potential Trump Presidency
Although Donald Trump faced widespread criticism this week after calling to stop Muslims from entering the USA, support for his 2016 Republican presidential campaign continued to grow, a new poll has found.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continued ripping Donald Trump during a Thursday-night interview on “Late Night” with Seth Meyers.
Trump has said his ban would be temporary until the government could better assess the threat of terrorism.
Among Republicans surveyed, 42 percent said they support the proposal and 36 percent oppose it. Meanwhile, three-quarters of Democrats said they disagree with it, as did 55 percent of independents. Leftand right-wing Israeli politicians and Israeli Arab lawmakers also said he should be barred from visiting.

The poll released Thursday by Gallup, showed that 91 percent of United States voters were familiar with Trump, but only 32 percent of them had a favorable opinion about Trump, compared to 59 percent who had an unfavorable opinion.

Parliament will now have to consider debating barring Mr Trump from entering the United Kingdom after the petition surpassed the 100,000 signatures mark.

“As with other shameful outbursts he has had about many ethnic groups, they are nothing short of risky”, he said.
Trump said the ban was necessary to protect Americans from extremism.

“We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda”, he said in the statement.
