Two top Twitter execs just jumped ship
Dropbox has hired Todd Jackson, a former Twitter executive, to become the company’s first ever VP of Product. Jackson was at the chief of one’s Content and Discovery groups of Twitter. He was involved with design and development of Facebook’s News Feed and Photos, and was director of product management at Twitter, where he oversaw Timeline.

Jackson, a software engineer who has found employment in big names such as Twitter, Facebook and Google, is the second big hiring made by Dropbox this month to shore up its executive team.
While Jackson certainly aren’t enjoying same label, he/she be stuffing the free responsibility that is what formerly tied up by Ilya Fushman, who might leaded it for Dropbox for Business.
Jackson joined Twitter in 2014 when the company purchased his startup, Cover, which offered a “smart” lockscreen for Android smartphones.
If that weren’t enough, Jackson also worked on product teams at Google – most prominently on the Gmail team.
Jackson had been at the company for about a year and a half, and Oestline had been there about two.
Dropbox cofounders Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi described Jackson in a blog post as “play[ing] critical roles in building communication and collaboration products that hundreds of millions of people use every day”.

When he starts at the San Francisco-based company in August, Hansen will be in charge of the direct sales and channel team for Dropbox for Business.
