Tyler Eifert undergoing ankle surgery, expected to undergo 3 month recovery
Eifert, 25, injured the ankle playing in the Pro Bowl in January, and the injury has reportedly not healed according to plan, leading to what’s being deemed a “minimal procedure” to fix it.

Enquirer Sports’ “Beyond the Stripes” with Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert, presented by JosephAuto.com from The Moerlein Lager House with Paul Daugherty, Paul Dehner Jr., Jim Owczarski and Lindsay Patterson. Eifert is expected to be available for the start of the regular season and should be looked upon as a high-end TE1 in the upcoming fantasy football campaign. It was quite the honor, but much to Bengals’ dismay, he left the Pro Bowl in a walking boot. Eifert also finished with 52 receptions for 615 yards on just 72 targets, good for a 72-percent catch rate. This will likely leave him falling slightly behind, as the Bengals are planning upon opening training camp in the last week of July. Eifert only appeared in one game during the 2014 season, his second year in the National Football League, after dislocating his elbow in Week 1. The tight end missed three games past year.
