So seeing Jones lead his 14th-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves into Monday night’s NBA Summer League Las Vegas championship game is really no shocker. In seven games Jones averaged 19.4 points on 45.7 percent shooting to go with 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

After losing their first three games in Las Vegas, Jones led the Timberwolves to four consecutive wins and a berth in the league title game.

Although we’re in the offseason, fans have been catching National Basketball Association action during the 2016 Summer League, where teams test out different summer rosters.

Here’s a look at the best of what we witnessed from this year’s summer league.

Adreian Payne hustled his way to another double-double, notching 18 points (8-17 FG, 0-2 3P, 2-3 FT) and 10 rebounds in just 20 minutes, also committing three turnovers and handing out two assists.

Nance Jr. had an outstanding week for the Lakers before finishing the Summer League with an injury.

The Suns didn’t have the services of any of their Summer League stars, as Devin Booker, Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss all sat out.
