Tyrann Mathieu Experiences Hot auto in PETA PSA
Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu conducted an experiment showing the devastating effects of being in hot vehicle. The car’s temperature was 97 degrees after two minutes and rose to 120 degrees at the eight-minute mark.

In a video that PETA released, Mathieu subjects himself to the extreme temperatures of a parked auto in direct sunlight.
What makes it even worse is that dogs, unlike Mathieu, can’t sweat to cool down when they get overheated.
YouTube The Honey Badger can’t take the heat as temps soar inside the parked auto.
“I can’t wait to get out of this auto”, Mathieu says as he nearly immediately begins sweating profusely.
By the sixth minute, the temperature has climbed to 113 degrees. Don’t treat him like you wouldn’t treat someone you care about or someone you love…
Tyrann Mathieu has put himself on the front lines to prove a very important point.

Speaking of Mathieu and King, they will be part of the video series coming soon called “A Bird’s best friend”, chronicling Cardinals and their dogs. Tyrann Mathieu can simply open the door and leave – dogs can’t. Another bonus feature of this video is the reminder to all of us to always intervene if we see a dog locked in a hot auto, because every second counts.
