Wladimir Klitschko has insisted that he wants a rematch after losing his world heavyweight championship title to Tyson Fury.

The three judges scored it 115-112, 115-112 and 116-112, a unanimous decision for the 28-year-old.

And now he wants to rule like Klitschko did after handing him his first defeat in 11 years.

Fury now holds the WBO, IBF, WBU and IBO world boxing titles even though the fight was less a spectacle than many expected.

Fury, 27, taunted and baited the 39-year-old Klitschko at various stages, prompting jeers from fans at the 55,000-seat soccer stadium in Duesseldorf.

Fury revealed on the morning of the fight that his wife Paris is expecting their third child.

His father, who was a gypsy bare-knuckle fighter in the 1980s, named him Tyson after world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

The 6-foot-9 Fury is 3 inches taller than Klitschko. ‘My only goal is becoming a world champion again and if he stands in my way I’ll fight him but if not he’s not on my radar’. Fury lost 32 kilos in five months to get in shape for the fight.

“It was all fun and games in the build-up, I just wanted to be confident, young and brash”. Congrats to Tyson for becoming the new heavyweight champion of the world! But I would just like to say to Wladimir and I would like to say to Germany thank you for having me. Klitschko said he will “definitely” use the option of a rematch, which is in the fight contract.

“I saw in his eyes tonight he was going to lose the fight and he saw the new, hungry champion in me”. “The difference between me and the previous challengers Klitschko (64-3-0, 53 KOs) has beaten in a row is that none of them were like me”.

Fury is a brawler who can rip into his opponents and go for the kill once he senses an opening.

Then Klitschko was reported to have had his fists wrapped without an observer being present, a no-no in boxing, and when Fury’s camp complained, the champion’s fists were re-strapped which briefly delayed the start of the fight.

“This is a dream come true”, he said.
